Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

2023 is the baseline reporting year for MIH (Make It Happen) Solutions Limited.  

No emissions are calculated under Scope 1 and 2 as MIH leases office space for the operation of business (inclusive of energy bills) and does not own any fleet vehicles.

Emissions reduction targets 

MIH (Make It Happen) Solutions Limited is an SME with a small carbon footprint and our operations and products do not generate Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Our baseline year is 2023 and we are committed to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero through reducing our Scope 3 emissions by 40% by 2030. 

We project that our carbon emissions over the next five years will decrease to 12.8 tCO2e by 2028. This is a reduction of 28%.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives 

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented in our 2023 baseline year: 

- ISO 14001 certification. 

- Local recruitment and travel practices updated to minimise emissions and make use of most sustainable options.

- Maintaining digital first approach to delivery of client services (e.g. use of video conferencing).

 

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as: 

- Engaging with our lessor to ensure use of renewable energy. 

- Continuous review of our supply chain to ensure carbon reduction is maximised. 

- Developing a Green Strategy for the business. 

- Offer electrical vehicle salary sacrifice scheme to staff.

 

We would also commit to the following KPIs:

- Replacement of ink cartridges in printers with eco-inks

- Reduce scope 3 emissions (essential annual travel)

- Incentivise car sharing by considering allowances for those transporting/being transported by others

- Introduce a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme for employees
